IF it does, just a quick rinse in the sink, and it's good as new. WE got this rice cooker a month ago, and have been using it like crazy. Don't know why you'd want a more expensive one. I love this little thing. Easy to clean, nothing sticks. This does everything you'd need. As long as your shopping for a small rice cooker, this is the only one you should consider,Nick
This cooker doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles so if you need a timer or a neat little LCD display you'll want to look elsewhere. It is the perfect size for one or two people. What it does excel in is making great rice. I bought one for myself for Christmas and I've used it 7 or 8 times so far and each time the rice was excellent. Clean up couldn't be more easy. For what it cost, I really couldn't ask for more and I've been very satisfied with it.
The thing I love about this appliance is that you can put in the ingredient and leave it alone. I got this because I love cooking rice but quickly found you can cook a lot of things in it, quickly and easily. I have experimented with cooking beans, oatmeal, pasta, soup, and even made a quick bread. This allows you to focus on other things without having to worry about it. Like they say on TV, "set it and forget it."

It's not advanced, it doesn't do timed cooking but it works perfectly for all the different kinds of rice I've used so far. I max out the capacity for 2 people and I've made a ton of rice with it since I got it.
I needed a simple rice cooker and I found it. One note: I use broth instead of water for most of my rice, if you do that, you might need to add a little more broth than you would with water or it may slightly brown the rice on the bottom of the pot.
Great product. Eventually I'm going to want a bigger one and a timed one that keeps it warm and does other stuff but for a starter, this is perfect.

I've used it several times and I have had no problems with it at all. Very easy to use.
I decided that I wanted to start cooking brown rice to help me with a healthy diet. I'm a nooby when it comes to cooking.
It works great. I researched different rice cookers and this one seemed to fit best for me seeing how it was simple to use, well priced, and small.
I didn't need a large one because I was just going to cook rice mainly for myself and not family size portions. The directions were very simple to follow too.
Very easy to clean too.
